Sister was very specific on her birthday cupcakes for her 5th Birthday! She wanted TROLLS and there was no second thoughts!!!
As I researched Troll Cupcakes, I didn't find much....until I went to Etsy! I found these precious Poppy and Branch wrappers from HappywithPrintables. They were $2.00 for the images. I printed them on paper and laminated them so the oil from the icing wouldn't bleed to the paper. (Trust me on this one....I learned that from trial and error)
As I was thinking about the hair, I knew I wanted it to stand up like Troll hair. For some reason sugar cones came into my head. I was worried they would break if I cut them but they actually cut better than I thought! I made them kind of small so the hair wouldn't be so tall!
I used my buttercream recipe (you can find that recipe in the tips/recipe tabs above)
You don't want the icing to soft or it want stand up.
Pipe the icing up the sides of the ice cream cone.
The weather was very warm yesterday so I kept them in the fridge so they wouldn't melt!
Loved how these turned out!!
